It was with great expectations and delight I stepped of the airplane this Sunday. I just left the gray and rainy Sweden, to begin my new adventure on the sunny and warm Island of Malta in the Mediterranean. The Island has been populated since 5200BC, and been influenced of a great variety of cultures and civilizations. It’s the most southern state of the European countries, just 288km from the African coast. Today the Island it’s not just known for being a holiday and tourist attraction, but also for being the centre for the online betting and poker companies in the world.

It’s great to try new things. Getting new perspective and seeing things in another point of view. I always wanted to travel and see the world. Learn and experience new things. So coming to Malta is a great opportunity for me, since I just have been living in Sweden and South East Asia for the last couple of years.

Hopefully I will gain a little more wisdom down here. I think it’s good to vary ones game. Even if it’s important to specialize in one thing, it’s healthy to see things from another angle. As in poker things can get a little too much some old same old, if you’re not open to new ideas. Getting creative with influence from other games, can do wonders, I think. Being open minded is one key for becoming a winner.

So what odyssey will I come to meet? What will I learn. Well, only time will tell…
