Today i found something weird happen, after a somewhat long time with desent results, and being fairly confident with my tourney play, i started playing as usual.

But i felt imediately that something was Off. Couldnt really put my finger on it, but i was sure something was not as it had been yesterday.

And i thought and i thought without getting any wiser.

Until right now, when it hit me. Yesterday before i finished my session, i turned off the setting to “show others your VIP level” option in the PS client. Like every raise, i litterarly got called with 4-5 players. (tourneys) Yes there are alot of fishes in the lower buyin tourneys, but not This much… it surely needs some getting used to.

Like raising to steal blinds is basicly off, bluffing on the river off, and alot of other stuff is off aswell…

hmm we will see, i might turn the stars and stripes back on if i dont improve.

lol its been a long time since i logged in here, again. Had a positive sunday last sunday. 1st in a loooong time. (heh didnt play at all(so no negativities), and found a coin outside of my car so one coin plus )

its officially the donkey day at PS.
I keep wondering why i even play at the sundays, i mean im not playing the big tourneys but i Do play some of the smaller which has added value on sundays. (like daily $90k and so on)
Still, its donkey-filled to the roof.

one time, this guy had gone all in alot. So i min-raise with AQ and hope he'll try to bluff with whatever. He does, he catches a 7 with his J7off and i lost a big chunk of my stack. another hand i minraise again with 99. he moves and i call he has T3. T on flop. another big chunk of my stack.
i managed to get some chips back again. and i look down on TT when im big blind.
alot of limpers, so i just check. Flop 963. I move all in, i get one caller who goes allin aswell. still, i knew i was ahead. and i was. He had 88.
Turn 7. and river 5.


I mean, what the hell do you do?1?!?

After watching some of the WSOP 2008, seeing classic Hellmuth triads, going on over and over how players play like idiots and how he's playing so good and how they play like crap and get lucky....

At first i was in total LOL mode, but after a few minutes i realized ...... Thats basicly me. Thats basicly how i play, how i feel, how i act. Basicly. Not entierly. im not callin people idiots and so on, but i DO point out how lucky they are at several places around the game. Typicly like me having a big pair against an ace high call, preflop with all their chips or for all my chips atleast... Obviously they catch their precious ace, and if its the other way around. Me with AK and they with TT. Then no ace or king is to be found. To quote Mike the mouth, Positive thinking, gets you the cards


So when does he get to the weakness part? Well, as i said, i recognise myself so much in Hellmuths pain and frustration, usually a bad beat, sends me down the spiral of chiploss. And i actually think people have started to take advantage of that. Especially the names that i recognize from other tournaments or other tables where we met...

So from now on, im going to totaly stay away from the chat window. If not for a short nh here and there. I will also have to start getting my hands more disguised. And When(no if, When) i get a badbeat, even if its a tourney. I will walk away from the computer, do some pushups or punsh the wall a few times to get my agression out. Or find some breathing teqnique or something to help me calm down again....3 minutes ATLEAST away from the computer. Doesnt matter what hands i get next, not even aces...

The most common thing to happen is the following. Im right after the blinds, so preflop im first to act. I look down on JJ. At this point, im typicly atleast 2nd chipleader of the table. i make a standard 3bb raise. For fun, say the blinds are at 100/50 and my stack is about 5k. 2 things typicly happens here, either a shortstack at 1200 moves (i hessitate for a while and call) he had QT and a Q comes on the flop, and no help down the line.... or someone with about 2k in chips after me reraises me to like 700. I hessitate and calls. Flop comes Q52 rainbow. I push him all in since im 1st to act. He calls with his QT, and i have no help down the line. The same situation happens alot also with me having KK and someone having like AT, well atleast the 2nd case,where someone rereaises me and i just smoothcall.. Then on flop an ace comes,and i KNOW he hit that ace, but i still pushes him all in and he calls and i cant catch lucky...

I mean, you have no fuckin clue how much money i have lost with KK against A+weak kicker. But i mean, what can you do. take that 2k stack example. after my 3bb raise, its 4.5bb in the pot. he raises 7bb. so its a total of 11.5bb in the pot, and after my call its 15.5bb. i mean, i dont think he'd fold even if i moved right there. The outcome in this case would ofcourse be the same. but i still think, in the long run, if you have a big pair, and you see 1 over card, its advisable to move ... even if its an ace, right?

Ah well, positive thinking and tiltcontrol. Could be a winning concept. and im also thinking of completely dishing the cashgames for a while aswell.... we'll see how it goes. Usually a badbeat and the cash and chips goes down the toilet. But no more, plz?!
or how about the classic, well i need something to do while im still playing this $1 tourney... 1 hour later i bust in it and typicly would have won $2 and lost $20 in cash.. i mean, WTF LOL.

26 days since i last logged in, thats a long time. almost a month... did definitively not think it was That long, i was thinking maby a week or so.
Well as we all know, time flies, especially when summer is upon us.

To sum up the 26 days or how long it has been since my last blog, ummmm ....
Same shit, different taste.

Ive managed to get deep in some tourneys... im trying to lift up the postivit sides of it, i've managed to get deep, but not deep enough (money wise. or the tourneys ive gone deep in has been of a low buyin so the payback hasnt been that much)
If you look at it, like you Should look at it, like: i have bought in for $1 and after 5h i get $5 back. is that you have five doubled the buyin. But ofcourse i look at it like umm a dollar a hour, how good. And what you cant forget, that i tend to do, is that i beat thousands litterarly thousands of people. Which should be good.
But a good reason why i tend to get bitter after getting busted, is that it usually (yes im biased) get busted by a weaker hand.
Good example, today, i had just gotten into money, and had had a coldstreak for about an hour with no good cards at all. and if i ever got a desent hand, people had already moved all in or raised big before me so it was not a good spot to make a move... So i had about 4bb left and was 1st to act before the flop, so i moved all in, fold fold fold, and someone with about 9bb left Also moves, perfect i thought .. just up against one. i can double up here. and then this guy with about 60bb left Also calls, i think he was the small blind.

I obviously had the best hand, the 9bb guy had A8 suited, i had AQ suited and the 60bb guy had 56 suited.
OF FUCKIN COURSE a 6 hits the flop and no ace no queen no flush no straight comes.. so he takes it all down..

I obviously had a few words to say to him afterwards. not to pleasing words. he's answer basicly was i would still have had like 50k left..

IF he would have had a pair, like Tens or better and he'd called, i would hve totaly understod him, or if it was only me with 4bb left and he'd called id understood .. but now, 2ppl goes all in and he still calls with that junk?!

This is things i cant understand, your basic reasoning in that spot has to start with IF i get Lucky ... because you KNOW you cant have the best hand with that .. after 2 allins..

Like, if you where to go buy a lottery ticket, do you go buy a car right after thinking .. IF i get Lucky ... ?!?!


Another thing, i think i need to start taking stats on how often when i move with a pocket pair, an ace shows up on the flop or when the river has been dealt. and ofcourse you are up against a AJ or something and you got KK... A on turn. ofcourse. lol. story of my life

and if I have AK and he has 33 he either catches a set or i wont catch a K or A..
Fair.. ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Its not often, one can realize and actually admit that one is making a crappy play.
This is one of those times.

It was a tourney i played tonight, i bust right here.. at this hand. it went like this :

You see, right there, i should have come to realise that someone, either one of the callers or the better had a better flushdraw than me..

But i think i thought like, i have a flushdraw AND a gutshot straightdraw aswell...
(i should also have realised, i dont catch draws ... people draw me out)

So, with that reasoning, it was a bad play, i'd had to catch a one of the 3 Qs out there(not counting the Q in the same color)... on 2 cards. and to avoid a flush (if i was right with someone having the A high flushdraw) To sortof catch the nuts.. But ofcourse, i Could actually be on top if a K came.. or even a J. not likely, but there was a chanse.....
If i was really lucky, that my flush would give me the pot, then i had more outs.. 3 Queens, 9 spades, even 3K and if i was really lucky 3J

like i said, i had that feeling, and i should have listened to it, it said fooooooollllllldddddd!!!!! you aint catching....

Here's how it went,

turn : blank,
(had to call my last 900,to much in the pot already)

river : blank.

bust.

and yes, i Was right, the one before me had the A4 flushdraw or something like it.
the better had a small set. (so he took it all)

Im so effin pissed right now its not even funny, it was sortof close to money, and im pretty sure that if i hadnt played that hand i'd get atleast into money... if not more. I was on my way up, i had had alot less chips a few hands earlier....
Why why why do you not listen to your gut more often.
sigh, time to crash the wall again...

Played a Scoop event tonight.
It was a deep stacked one.
10000 startchips starting at 25/50 blinds...

Didnt take long before i was up to 13000 .... didnt take long until i was down to 7000.
After that, after 2h play, i had about 30000 .. and had more chips than most of the pros who played it.. think it was a total of 15 PS Pros who played and only 5 had more chips than me.

Ofcourse i bust before right before money.

Fell into a slowplayed for-of-a-kind, catching top two pair... on the turn and river.Played A9 suited. (i had a bad feeling when i raised with this one and got 3 callers)
Flop came 668. i bet, one caller. A on turn. i bet more... wait .... one caller. 9 on river. Moved all in, he calls with his 6666. great.

Lost half my stack. was back to 15000 ... now average was 25000ish.

a few hands later, i lost another half of my stack with KJ against KQ (and i also had a flushdraw) but no flush and no J...

now i was shortstacked... and waited and waited... right before the blinds was about to be raised again. i look down on JT suited. i limp with 1 other limper + the two blinds.
two of the same suite comes up on flop.
round-check.

3rd of the same suite comes on turn. i go all in with my Jhigh flush, ofcourse, a Q7flush calls and im out.. weeeee.

well.. i played well and got unlucky with 2-3 hands.. ofcourse.

Thats what it feels like right now.
Like, last week, everything went fine, my cards held up most of the time.
If i was beaten, it was by a better hand like if i had AQ i got beat by KK or so on...
And thats acceptable, and that you Some time looses with KK versus AQ thats also acceptable.

But when you start to loose with KK versus TT and AA versus 88 and AK versus 24 and you catch a small straight on the turn, the other guy flopped a bigger one. and like AK versus A2 and so on... and if i have a Ten high flush im up against the nut flush... and a full house, up against a bigger fullhouse and so on...

It also amazes me how some people can like call with any two and fetch something on the river.
and to be able to call like 80% of your stack with nothing but a draw.. and to catch that card on the river.

And me not catching even if i have a openended straight and flushdraw.with two cards to come.
Like similar tnings has happened. I have A9suited. I raise 3bb preflop, one caller.

Flop comes 8TJ with 2 of the same suit as mine.

That means, i can now catch a Q or an 7 or any card of my suite ... so i move.
Gets called by KT. (who calls like 60% of his stack) So now its even better. I can catch an ace aswell. so now my outs are AAA, 777, 2345689TQK (of my suite) ... does it come.
noooo..

IF the cards are turned, im sitting on TT and flop comes the same.
ive flopped a set.

i get called by QT and ofcourse the 9 comes on the river.
SO SICK!!!!!!!

So ... another sunday with horrible results.

After having a GREAT week, a Good friday and a okey saturday, the sunday was just horrible.
Either i shoved with the worst hand, or called with the better and the river saved some donk...

And some hands where just total cooler.. 1st hand in one tourney, looks down on AK suited.
I make a small raise. The guy after me goes all in.. i call.. yes, bad call, he had AA. ofcourse. and none of my suit.

The other tourney, was like 10ppl left to cash, i look down on AA. Have about 12 blinds left.
Im on small blind. BB has me covered with like 10 chips or so. and the button is a agressive bigstack.
He goes all in, i autocall, and so does bb. At this point, i know nothing good can come out of this. Said and done.

Donkey bigstack had like K8 off.. Me AA and BB had TT.
Flop comes TJJ. and no ace. i made a flush on the river.. but that didnt help ofcourse. sooo sick.

on the cashgame front has also just been terrible. i mean, one terrible joke to another. I catch two pair with my AK and someone called ALOT with their pocked duces.. and ofcourse the flop a set.
or someone slowplaying AK and i check with my A2 and catch A2 on the flop. i bet, they go all in, i call .. and ofcourse either the board pairs so my 2pair is no good or they catch the card they need on the river.
Just fuckin gravey.

Now i have to go break stuff, so i can get some sleep...

WHY SUNDAYS?!?!?!?!?!

Every friday and saturday i think like, this sunday is it, im gonna premier play the sunday million .... but after a bad beginning of the sunday there's no use.....

Well, there's nothign else to do to cry some and get back tomorrow - the crying.
