Winner interview with Bustln321 here on Cardlovers, after winning €3500 on Diamondbet's freeroll. There were 79 players who played the tournament and according KillerB on Cardlovers (KillerB poker blog) the value of the tournament was equal of a €63 buy-in ticket. Nice value and several of our members were hot to compete for the €5000 prize pool. After a volatile HU match against-Grizzly-it was finally Bustln321 who stood as the winner. Additional prizes are awarded to Grizzlyboy, Anton and C4Q.
G: Do you play a lot of online tournaments? Or do you play cashgames? How long have you played poker?
J: No, not directly, well sometimes. Usually it´s NL100SH. I started to play poker a long time ago, but have been playing seriously for about 6 months.
G: How was it to win the tournament? How were the expectations?
J: Of course it was fun to win. The expectations weren’t high really, I didn’t know that the tournament existed until my affiliate reminded me about 1.5h before (=
G: What was the strategy when you started the game? And what did you think of the competition in the tournament as a whole? Do you remember any names from the tournament that you thought was any good?
J: Ehhm, strategy?
No, but tried to hold on and it was a steep structure, so I had to push with some marginal hands. As for tournaments, I am a Donk myself, so I don’t want to speak about others, but I remember that Neknab had good karma, anyways (=
G: You had lesser chips initial in the HU-game. But managed to reverse it. How did you get leverage?
J: Just when the HU began, we were pretty much equal in chips. But lost half of my stack with K10 on a KQJ55 board after 4-5 hands. I then manage to double up with K4 against AA on K4x, and called down a river bluff from FI, after that it was equal again. And then I won all the pots (I think), when we saw the flop and finally we ended all in with AJ vs K8 and it was over.
G: What will you do for money?
J: Hehe, a big portion of the money will end up in the bankroll, so I can jump up to NL200, then I will probably find something fun to do with it =)
G: How do you enjoy playing at Diamondbet?
J: I moved from Redbet, so it wasn’t a huge change really, the client isn’t 100%, but when it draws away grinders, I should probably not complain. (=
G: Will we see you blog on Cardlovers in the future, perhaps?
J: I don’t think blogging is my thing, but never say never.
