G: How long have you been playing poker? When did you decide to play professional?
J: I played professional since summer / fall 2005. I didn’t aim to make an career as a poker player. At the beginning I played mostly for fun, but I was winning almost immediately and the money made a big difference for a student, and on that path it is.
G: What’s your favorite game online? Any what other poker games do you like?
J: I play mainly No Limit hold’em cashgames 6-handed. Live china poker is always fun.
G: How has your game developed since you started playing and to where you are today?
J: It’s hard to say because the game is changing continuously. But for about three years ago, I was more loose / aggressive, and today I play a little more tighter.
G: What has been the most difficult to learn?
J: To put up with people´s prejudices and reactions against poker players
G: What does it take to be a winning poker player?
J: To be stubborn, smart, determined and willing to spend enough time.
G: What would your recommendations be to new poker players who wants to be winning players? What would your three foremost advices be?
J: 1. Read a lot about poker in books, forums, magazines and reflect over what is written. Don’t take it just all in, but every detail can help you to develop your own thoughts. Discuss a lot with your friends. 2. Be prepared to spend an enormous amount of time and energy that is required. 3. Don’t cheat with the bankroll!
G: How is it to play live poker compared with to playing online? What is most fun? Which one is the most profitable?
J: The two is completely two different games. A big difference. Live could be more fun if you have nice table neighbors, but also very excessive because everything takes forever. Online is most profitable.
G: What do you usually do when you don’t play poker? What do you like to do in your spare time?
J: Traveling, watching movies, hanging out with friends, go out to restaurants, play Travian.
G: You have amongst other been runner-up to the Swedish Championships in Poker in 2007 and soon you are of to European Poker Tour (EPT) Prague where you are sponsored by BetFair. What is your game plan for the tournament? What are your expectations?
J. I will take it easy in the beginning and try to adapt myself to the other players on my table. The structure isn’t the best, so there is not going to be a too much of a tight game. I always aim high.
